Patrick Voon has been in Information Technology for over 35 years, with 28 of those years in Information
Security. He started his Information Security career at Kaiser Permanente in the Pacific NW and has been
in professional cybersecurity consulting services for 11 plus years of his career, serving clients in the
public and private sectors across multiple industries. As a Director, Patrick has led a Governance, Risk
and Compliance (GRC), security and privacy consulting practice in the west coast. In addition, he helped
build the enterprise IT audit program at Alaska Air Group as a Senior IT Audit Manager with their Internal
Audit department. Since November of 2016, Patrick has been serving as the Chief Information Security
Officer (CISO) at Loma Linda University Health, an academic and medical institution, located in Southern
California. He holds a number of professional certifications to include: Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance
of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and
Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP). Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, friends,
music, kayaking and of course spicy Asian food
